The Association transmits to Carlos Moruiño, president of Olívico, that he will take “the necessary legal actions”
The Spanish Footballers’ Association (AFE) on Monday urged Celta de Vigo to allow midfielder Denis Suárez to immediately join the team’s tour of Mexico and the United States.
AFE sent a letter to the president of the entity, Carlos Mouriño, in whichand transmits that he will take “the necessary legal actions” to defend the social rights of the footballer, confronted with the leaders of the club since last summer.
In said letter, the association recalls that there is “no reason” from a legal point of view which allows the club to act in this wayin addition to warning that not allowing a footballer to participate in the said concentration may constitute “a serious breach of the contract and of the rights of the player provided for in articles 4.2, sub-paragraphs a and b, and 17.1 of the Workers’ Statute; also in article 7.4 of Royal Decree 1006/1985, which regulates the employment relationship of professional athletes”.
In addition, The AFE recalls in the letter that “article 8 a) of the Collective Agreement in force is violated”which establishes that the training will be carried out “collectively, being in accordance with the law no departure, except in the event of recovery due to illness, injury or other justified cause which must be notified in writing to the footballer”.
For all that, yesasks the celestial entity to avoid the “exclusion” of the former Barcelona footballerto whom the sports management is still looking for a way out of the club.
