What time and where to watch the Austrian Formula 1 GP on TV today
Max Verstappen will start from pole after winning the sprint race
Max Verstappen will look to cement his leadership in the Formula 1 World Championship at today’s race Austrian Grand Prixwhich takes place at the Red Bull Ring.
Verstappen, 24, that this course had already won the other qualification by a reduced test, Imola (Italy), in the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix; that of this Saturday was marked on the beautiful Styrian track; in which his teammate, the Mexican Sergio Pérez, will start fifth – after playing in the comeback of the day, which helped him move up eight places, after starting thirteenth -; and where the other Spaniard, Fernando Alonso (Alpine) – who did not start this Saturday, due to a breakdown that prevented his car from starting – will do so from nineteenth place.
The qualification formatted sprint, established last year, which will again be present at three races this season – that of Brazil remains, in the penultimate round of the year – not only organizes the grid for Sunday’s race, which in this case is scheduled for 72 laps, to complete a course of 306.4 kilometers. It also has the advantage of distributing additional points among the first eight classified. This is why the new sporting idol of Dutch supporters – who once again fills the stands at Spielberg – has increased his advantage a little more at the top of the championship, which he now leads with 189 points, 38 more than ‘Checo’; with 44 on Leclerc, who is third; and with 56 over Sainz, who took his first F1 victory last Sunday, at Silverstone; and placed fourth in the World Cup.
